Starting from the the immaculate and accessible ground floor air-conditioned office in Jodhpur Park, to Tanuja Sinha’s engaging demeanour and warm hospitality on a hot summer day, to her expertise in tax matters specially in regards to NRI/OCIs, I and my wife found everything about TSA top-notch and impressive at our first meeting. During this initial meeting with her, Tanuja went through the entire process of property sales, repatriation of money, and taxation rules at tax time for the following year. Her fee structure was fair and transparent. She discovered that my PAN card had been marked “Inoperative” as there was some problem in the documentation about the fact that I lived abroad, and she and her staff helped me rectify this in the next few days. Tanuja also arranged for a Certified Valuer to give an official property valuation in an expedited way, and she introduced us to knowledgeable and competent bank officials who helped us open a bank account in an Indian Bank that would be able to repatriate the money at the appropriate time when the needed documents were submitted Tanuja was ready with sound advice for every question we had. Her pleasantness and courtesy were heartwarming to us and her knowledge of tax laws was outstanding. Her professionalism, competence, problem resolution skills, forward thinking and planning for all contingencies, and follow-up even in our absence after we left Kolkata, made the otherwise stressful job of selling property almost a pleasant experience.
